Exploring the philosophy and ramifications of antinatalism; that is, the belief that life should not be brought into existence.

Poetry Break
Barring something unforeseen, my next post will be a book review of Thomas Ligotti's 'The Conspiracy Against the Human Race'. Until that's ready, I thought I'd offer up a little right-brained fare to clear the palate. It's a poetry project I've been working on, infrequently, for the last couple of years. So far, there are only a handful I'm semi-content with. I've got another dozen or so in the oven that still need some work. Hopefully I'll finish them someday. Anyone familiar with this blog will instantly recognize the same cockeyed optimist pulling the strings of the Bitch in Black.
On second thought, I suspect it's Kali pulling the strings.
I wish you all a good evening.

I'm looking forward to your review of The Conspiracy Against the Human Race.
Coincidentally, I was recently thinking about Ligotti, and how discovering his writing was probably the major turning point that brought me around to antinatalism. I hope the publishing of TCATHR pounds some dearly needed nails into the coffin.
Another coincidence is that I discovered your Kali blog yesterday, not long before this post. I am left handed, so I imagine the right-brained approach appeals to me. I like to think of myself as a member of the poetry wing.
Antinalist fragment from Jim Morrison poetry(?)

I have TWO statuettes of Kali! Both made from Ganges clay.
I meant "antinatalist"! It's an OCD thing...
Some Easter grist for the mill...
This morning I received an instant message from a friend telling me her cousin had given birth last night to twins of 23 weeks gestation. Both in critical condition. From what little I know about the subject, even if such young preemies survive, they are at high risk for serious health issues.
As Jim once simply put it, life sucks.
A question for Jim.
Has a firm date been set for the book's publication?
Anonymous,
Last word I've heard, it'll be out within the week.
The presses have run and the books are scheduled to ship from the printer (to me) on Friday, April 16. As soon as they're in, I'll update the 9BB page to accept PayPal orders. Amazon orders will most likely be filled within the next couple of weeks.
